Kostiak Green started inside a data engineering team, not a dispensary. Working with large-scale market data, we watched legal cannabis become one of the most brutal price wars in American retail — and noticed that the stores losing it weren't losing on product or service. They were losing on information: a menu is public, but a market is not. Thousands of listings in every radius, every one in a different pack size, potency, and quality grade — technically visible, practically unreadable. The insight that became this company is that the missing piece wasn't more data. It was normalization: turning every menu around a store into one fair, like-for-like comparison an owner can actually price against.

Kostiak Green is a pricing-intelligence platform built for independent cannabis retailers. We aggregate publicly available menu data across a store's real competitive radius, normalize it — price per gram, price per milligram of THC, quality tier against quality tier, pack size against pack size — and turn it into a handful of numbers an owner can act on before their first coffee. No point-of-sale integration, no inventory upload, nothing to install.

Every number on the platform is held to the same standard: it must be reproducible by hand from the values we show. Products only compare within the same quality tier and pack size — a $40 top-shelf eighth and a budget ounce are never on the same axis. Dosed products compare on milligrams of THC, never on package weight. Strain names trace back to their genetic families so a rebrand or spelling variant doesn't break a comparison. And when there isn't enough data to stand behind a number, we say so plainly: an honest "not enough data yet" beats a number we can't defend. Our methodology is documented, versioned, and engineered to be auditable end to end.

Oregon is fully live with daily market refreshes, Michigan is rolling out, and new states come online continuously. Every comparison is scoped to a dispensary's real competitive radius — the stores a customer could actually drive to — not a statewide average that mixes a city price war with a rural town two hundred miles away.

Kostiak Green is built and operated by Kostiak Systems LLC, a Wyoming software and data analytics company run by a senior data engineering team. We're not a cannabis retailer, distributor, or cultivator — we hold no cannabis license and never touch the plant. Our whole business is making market data honest and usable for the independents competing in it.
